History Of Custom Made Banjos

By Timothy Edwards

We all have our favorite things to do just to entertain ourselves especially to pass time. One of mine is to listen and learn how to produce and create sounds. This is made possible with the different kinds of musical instruments made available for use. One that sparks my very interest on this matter is the custom made banjos.

I am sure that you have seen the younger generation and they are very affluent with some of the instruments that we never even heard of since childhood. The interesting part is that one of this few instruments is the Banjo. An instrument that originated in West Africa since the 17th century

This instrument is technically made out of a hollowed gourd, a wooden neck and horse hair which is used for strings and any other alternative materials that is best fit to produce a remarkable sound. Being one of the sixty powerful lute instruments, the Banjo is also remarkable in its own way.

The Banjo is the most underestimated string instrument as it is one of the smallest. This could have been reasoned by the previous years of the instrument being elusive to the eyes of the public. They were referred once as studio instruments as they are most likely called to be ugly, they were also called out as just the great accompaniment.

This string instrument is something that I find very easy to learn and to even play. It gives you a very defined, raw, metallic and rusty sound that is very different and organic to that of a guitars vibe. Mostly, you can find some of its uses in most folk and country music that are recently produced.

Unlike the guitar, learning the banjo was much more easier. It is a string instrument that did not need a lot of effort and strength when you use it. It was very convenient to learn and play. It lets out a very organic and metallic sound that is slightly different and softer from that of a guitar.

Going back, this instrument could be tagged as under-ranked but it has always been never the last resort for productions. I am very thrilled since a lot of craft stores has been offering to make custom made banjos that would very much interest music lovers. With this offer, you get to choose your own materials, you could experiment the design and even craft your name on it.

Today, It is such a delight knowing that the crafty banjo suppliers of this time is now promoting a very like-able way of approaching clients. It is indeed a genius to have it more preppy and self assuring as you could have it made as you want. It is also great that you could place accents and carve names on it which was never an option before.

Loving how learning this instrument is relative to knowing an entire history and culture more importantly knowing that it brings me closer to a nation. I can not simply wait to uncover more and learn more of such treasures. I will totally have one to keep for myself, such wonderful custom made banjos.
