The Beauty Of Landscape Painting

By Steven King

For thousands of years, different parts of this world have been improved through the aid of art. More often, it is utilized as a technique of narrating something to give humans the knowledge of how this planet and the lands were shaped. There are variety of forms to narrate a story. It could be in the form of writing, acting, dancing, making poems, or even painting.

But, most people from the ancient times used drawing as a tool to communicate while wielding their photographic memories to create a timeless piece. This is why landscape painting is a perfect form of describing natural scenery. It reflects what the eyes of a person have been recorded.

Some may wonder why this type of illustration is preferable when illustrating the environment compared to portrait. This is because it always is greater in width which is a close reflection of the point of view of a human. Most individuals do not look at their surroundings from up to down. Rather, exploring the land by panning their heads for side to side.

What also makes scenery art a preference is, it does not limit imaginations. Unlike painting in landscape, portrait painting is usually applied to draw the upper body of a person. One can always freely use either both forms but there is nothing much for the eyes when illustrating a scenery in narrow visuals.

Drawing landscapes has always been the best teacher for arts. There are so many colors the nature can offer. From mountains, trees, lakes to rivers, the infinity of subject matters is way out of an artist options. The light beautifully changes from morning to night. The natural ways of earth makes a person paint confidently.

Since art is a free expression, an artist should not necessarily paint specific stuff for landscape. This is one of the many reasons why drawing in a wider angle will make a person as creative as he can be. He can depict the environment in so many ways. If being realistic is too much, the artist can always draw in an abstract approach that entails a very deep story.

Describing a scenery for instance. There are many subject matters that can be used which will offer turmoil and stress to the artist under the constant changing of light. He can simply draw the objects based on his convenience because it is not required to be drawn perfectly. If the story is just told and the color choices are right, it already is art.

This could also be evident today that landscape art was widely used centuries ago. Some are now placed in several national museums and some are sold at a very steep price. It will always be the best way to describe the beauties of this planet.

However, whether it is landscape, portrait or other kinds of paintings, they are as priceless as any other art on earth. They are handmade by the people who extract every last drop of their sweat and creativity just to share the wonders they have seen in this world. No machine in this time could top its value.
